A confined space is a place that is substantially enclosed, where serious injury can occur from hazardous substances or conditions in or near it.

  2. 02

The law and safe systems of work

The law starts with avoiding entry. When entry is unavoidable, careful planning keeps people alive.

Emergency arrangements must be in place before anyone enters. This module explains what they cover and what awareness-level staff should do.
