1. Who we are
HygieneReady is a sole trader business (enkeltpersonforetak) registered in Norway, organisation number [Organisation number]. Contact: hello@hygieneready.com.
Payments are processed by Stripe, which also works out and pays the VAT on each order. We never see or store your card details.
2. The courses
Our courses are online training courses. Level 2, Level 3 and the allergen course each have a UK version and an Ireland version; Spain has its own course, in Spanish. Retakes of the final exam or test are free.
- Food Safety & Hygiene Level 2 (Catering): seven modules, practice quizzes and a final exam of 30 questions. You pass with 21 correct answers. It also comes in Spanish: buying Level 2 gives you both the English and the Spanish course.
- Food Safety Supervision Level 3 (Catering): eight modules, practice quizzes and a final exam of 40 questions. You pass with 28 correct answers.
- Food Allergen Awareness (Catering): four lessons, practice quizzes and a final test of 20 questions. You pass with 14 correct answers. It costs less when you add it to Level 2 or Level 3 for the same country, in the same payment or later.
- Manipulador de Alimentos (Hostelería y Restauración) (Spain, in Spanish): seven modules, practice quizzes and a final exam of 30 questions. You pass with 21 correct answers. The course and the exam are free; after passing you can pay for the certificate (14,90 €, VAT included) to download it.
When you pass a course you receive a certificate of completion for it. The certificate confirms completion of training. It is not a regulated qualification and is not issued or approved by any government body. It is up to each food business to decide whether the training is suitable for its staff and to supervise and instruct them at work. We recommend refresher training every 3 years, or sooner if your role or the law changes.
3. Your account
- You need a free account to take the course. A purchase is linked to the account that made it and unlocks the course for the country you chose (UK or Ireland).
- Each course purchase is for one named learner. You may not share your login or let someone else take the exam for you.
- The name on the certificate must be your real name. Check it before the certificate is issued.
- We may suspend an account or revoke a certificate if we find the exam was taken by someone else or the rules were broken.
4. Team packs
A team pack gives a manager a number of learner places to assign by email. A place is used when it is assigned. The manager can see the progress, scores and certificates of the learners they invite. Unassigned places do not expire while the account is open.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds for the UK and in euros for Ireland and Spain. The price of a single course or certificate includes VAT. You pay once; there is no subscription.
6. Cancellation and refunds
See our Refund Policy.
7. Our responsibility
We take care to keep the course accurate and up to date, but it is general training and not legal advice for your business. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability for any order is limited to the amount paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.
8. Changes and law
We may update these terms; the version shown when you buy applies to that order. These terms are governed by Norwegian law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
